Guys don't get me wrong, I may still buy one... I'm having a bit of fun here.. I was just surprised how small the thing felt...

No. Very bad idea. Don't buy it. Based upon what you said, you will look foolish with this watch. You will be very self conscious and end up returning it within a few days. People will look at you very oddly (or at least that will be your perception). You are a MAN'S MAN who needs a larger watch and more masculine band. A recent survey I read indicated that men over 6 feet tall overwhelmingly purchase watches that are round and over 46mm in diameter.

I wouldn't do it. My 42mm stainless steel with black sport band basically came out of the closet FOR ME because of how small and not manly it is. If watches are the only "big thing" you're into don't confuse people by wearing an Apple Watch!

I assume you are kidding but it made me laugh. I am 6'4 and about 220 pounds and have several watches with only one bigger than 44mm and I don't were that one too much. It may come down to how fit the person is or how big their wrists are... But, even after that some people like smaller watches and some just want enormous. He barely fit the 42mm watch so his concern could be that he just likes oversized watches. I based his comment as a joke because he was trying to mock anyone wearing a 42mm is feminine or dainty. Worth a laugh but to each their own. He isn't a very big man at all.

You can pull off 42 barely, would be interested to see 38 for comparison.

Yeah, I was thinking the same. If his wrist was any smaller at all the 42mm might look too big. But yeah, everyone has their own preference.

The mistake the OP has made is to criticise the Apple Watch.

I got mine on 24/4 and I was immediately disappointed by its size. I posted my thoughts on this and was flamed to death.

What's relevant to me is the size of the actual clock face. On the 42mm it is 24mm wide. That is unarguably tiny and far smaller than any other watch I've ever worn.

It is primarily for this reason that I sent mine back.

It's an interesting point. I generally use the modular face, and I wasn't a watch wearer before in any case, but I could see how the analog faces might seem small if you were used to a large analog watch. Still, I don't think a rectangular watch can get that much larger without look strange.
