Wow, I have two on order since 3:03AM on pre-order day (42mm SS, black silicone: 42mm Sport, black silicon)...The difference from the 38mm to the 42mm is barely noticeable! In a day of age where bigger is more popular (including watches), when I tried the 42mm on I was completely disappointed by the size! It's tiny. They should have definitely created a 50mm model for a much more manly watch, more battery life, etc...

Now contemplating selling the two and waiting it out just on my opinion about that...

Go try it on again. The 2nd time it looked better in my eyes.

Ladies and gentlemen I present to you everything that is currently wrong with the world.

Ooooooo, someone is sensitive!

----------

50mm is a little too much. I do think that the 42mm should be the smaller model and the large model should be around 46mm.

You're right. 50mm is too large. Looking at the photo of the watch on my wrist I think 46mm would be amazing. I was also surprise to find that the leather band was much more preferable than the silicone. The leather allowed the watch to slide up and down easier. Not sure if you know what I mean, but when I wear a watch I like a loser fit and with the silicone it is basically bolted on above your wrist which looks awkward. For instance, if I have my Omego Planet Ocean on and wearing a long sleeve button-up shirt, the watch slides down the wrist to my hand, being exposed. The 42mm Apple Watch with silicon is so high up on my wrist it will never be seen. I'm a fan of watches and proud of what I wear!

Sorry, but this dude who says I'm all that is wrong with the world is Fd up. LOL. Must be a little 5 footer with chip on shoulder... I'm 6'3" and could definitely use larger.

I can see Apple introducing a third size in the future once they shave off a little bit of thickness :p

Dude, your statement is lame to be honest. So you're telling me all the dbags who wear oversized watches and jewelry are more manly than the rest of us?

LOL, again, sensitive, turn everything to negative! I'm tall, above average, so Apple made the watch for average people (female = 38, male = 42). Well I'll tell you for sure that there are larger people than average. Seems people here are sensitive to that fact and hate to hear some wish the watch was larger...So I'm everything wrong with this world...LOL...So hilarious and over exaggerated like forum members can sometime be! Equivalent to troll in my mind, insult the poster right of the bat!

Crap, I'm one of these guys now. I always read these type of thread and smack my head, but guess I'm involved in one of them now...

Dude, I'm 6'1", 235lbs. I'd hardly consider myself average. The 42mm looks fine on my wrist.

It's not terrible. As mentioned, I wear a considerably large watch already. Not douchbag large, but large. It's a major difference and I DO wish they had a slightly larger one. I have below as my daily:

It's almost 46mm, so would explain the dwarfism :)

Anyhow, was mentioning my opinion. Some like to feed on that.

I own a Omega Planet Ocean 42mm now. AKA the James Bond Casino Royale watch.

It's not going to happen. I'm sure Apple researched the optimum size to fit the vast majority of people. The percentage of customers who could wear a 42mm+ watch is so small it wouldn't be a big enough market.

42mm is fantastic. I have 185mm/65mm wide wrist and thinks it's perfect.

Join the club.I'm still taking fire for the comment I made in the movie theatre thread ;)

Which comment was that?

So the Swiss watch makers were wrong for going above 42mm?

You have good taste my friend.

Yes- many look ridiculous on most people. I'm not sure what the optimum size is but I see many that are way too huge. It's like Flavor Flav designed the watches.

Taste is subjective and most people have none.

So Since most people have no taste, I guess that's who Apple was aiming for.

Again, over ex adulation... Flavor Flav wears 100mm watches...your point is extremism I. It's finest.
