Here is a picture of my wife with a space grey sport.
I haven't seen pictures with women's wrist. Thought it would be helpful. #

I think it looks great, my wife ordered a 42mm sport watch with a white band and loved it

Looks fine. You should go the 42. Unless you are small, I would recommend 42 to both male and females, trend these days is to have larger watches.

Personally, for me, the 42 looked too big and the 38 was much nicer.

My husband felt the same way when he tried on yesterday.

38mm looks great on you (your wrist)!

38mm was so tiny, you can hardly see any of the things on the screen. They should have done a 40mm and 44mm in my opinion.

I felt like the 38 was too small as well - maybe for women it'll work in a more elegant way. I did notice people struggling to use two fingered gestures whilst trying on the 38 though.

No disrespect intended but is that your wrist or your husband's?
The main reason I ask is that the thread is entitled "42mm on a woman" but you mentioned your husband. I honestly don't know who the wrist belongs to in the photos posted.

I had ordered a 38, but I tried on a 42 at the store. It was way too large for me. Even the store guy said, 'if you don't mind me telling you, that doesn't look good on you'.

I found the 38 screen to be perfectly readable and I had no problem with gestures or selecting apps while playing with the "live" one. Yes, I wear glasses. :D

I have a friend that ordered a 42mm Friday and just got back from the Apple store try on. She was a little concerned but is now very happy. She thought the 38mm looked a little small plus harder to read.

I don't think it is too large.

My friend also ordered a 42 mm gray Sport. Looks good on her.

42 at the top. 38 bottom. I opted to keep the 38.
