Sign up for UPS My Choice, as soon as the package is scanned into the system hit the tab that says "delivery options" on the tracking page and it will give you options to hold at a ups facility. Be sure you pick the closest "customer center or hub" NOT the closet retail store. If you choose the store it will delay your pkg another day or more.
I don't remember off the top of my head. I spoke to an Apple rep via chat and she told me, but I don't recall.
Thanks for the details. I'll just wait patiently. Knowing my local UPS facility, they'll probably screw it up.
I just called and talked to UPS customer service, I've never held it at a facility before so hopefully it doesn't bite me in the butt.
You've waited 4 weeks already. Why mess with a system that is a finely tuned machine to possibly save a few hours versus maybe costing yourself a few more days?
Because its gonna get to Denver tonight/tomorrow anyways. If I cost myself an extra day whatever, if I get it first thing in the morning then I win. Pretty sure UPS can handle it.
I do this all the time. It's really not a big deal. It beats waiting on my driver who will show up anywhere between 4 and 10 pm depending on the day. Got tired of waiting on his schedule. Now everything I order gets held for pickup. I get to show up on my schedule and receive my pkgs. it's the only way to fly#
