Shipping to Austin, TX

Initial charge for watch got declined on Thursday morning, updated billing information 30 minutes after I got the notice from Apple that the charge didn't go through

Got charged for my Watch this morning ~11:30am

Just got the tracking information~5:00pm, tracking information isn't in the UPS system yet

I can't wait to get it! :D

I'm not saying what Apple is doing is right or wrong. I can see why you and some others are pissed off.

However, I do feel comfortable assuming that the negligible amount of units sent to the few boutiques worldwide are having no impact in the overall shipping schedule as they just account for a tiny fraction of what has been ordered worldwide

Probably not for the rest of the country. But I can't help to feel like, if they hadn't supplied Maxfield's literally the next day with orders there would be plenty of watches to spare for the Los Angeles pre-order fulfillment.

The literal turnaround was 20 hours for my SG Sport I ordered yesterday. I got a call at 1:30p today, I ordered the watch yesterday at a little after 5p yesterday. If they didn't send let's assume a low ball number of 50 SG Sport watches to Maxfield's 50 more people would have gotten their orders today... multiply that by 7 days a week and you're talking 350 watches a week that could have been used for pre-orders fulfillment.

FINALLY!! Getting it Monday

Somehow after days of constantly checking my phone for charge updates from Amex, I had a crazy day at work yesterday and missed a notification on my Apple Store charge. So it turns out I was charged yesterday, and didn't realize it, until this morning. Doing my morning rounds of checking status on Apple Store app saw a "preparing for shipping" around 10:17 am today.

Then got shipping notification 3:23 pm today (all PST). I now have a tracking #.
Here are the vitals:

42mm Space Gray
Email Confirmation: 4/10/15 00:05:56 PST
Charged: 4/30/15 About 3:30 pm PST
Preparing to Ship: 5/1/15 (Not sure when, noticed around 10:17am)
Shipment Notification: 5/1/15 3:02 pm PST
Delivery: 5/4/15
Not sure if this matters, but Portland, OR area

Based on what I'm seeing here, city has little to no relevance to shipping timelines. Shipments across the country (including LA) seem to be in virtually the exact order in which the order was placed.

I don't believe that Apple sends X amount of watches to be sent to Los Angeles in one day. I think they send X amount of watches to the national distribution centers and UPS does the rest.

Anyway...I obviously have no more real information than you, so we are both speculating.

Hopefully there's enough to finish up the 05s in the air right now...

6 flights yesterday with not much charges, 6 flights tonight. Imagine 12 flights worth of charges tommrow!! We would be blessed by the Gods of Apple realm.

Got mine delivered today at 2pm CST. Here's my story:

Location: US, Louisiana
Ordered: XX:05:05
Model: SG 42mm Sport
Estimated delivery: May 13-27
EOD: No
First Charged: 4-27-15 9pm CST
Status changed to Preparing to Ship: 4-30-15
Shipment email: 5:30pm CST 4-30-15
Delivery: 2pm 5-1-15

My story's a little unusual because I was charged on the 27th, and didn't get a "preparing to ship" until 4-30-15. However, once that happened, shipment happened same day, and watch arrived the next day.

Hope all of you have luck getting yours soon too. It's good to have it even if it's a week behind when I hoped to receive it.

Wow, screw UPS. It was on truck for delivery, I waited at home for it.
It never showed up so I called around 9PM, now its magically scheduled for delivery on Monday. They stated it never made it on the truck, even though the tracking says otherwise... They refuse to do anything about it.

I'm hoping my story has a happy ending.

I'm at XX:06:05 chargeddeclined/charged on Thursday morning and now I'm back to Processing hell. I hope it happens this weekend for me too.

I'm as anxious for my Watch to arrive as anyone or I would not be hovering around this forum looking for promising info but I am amazed by the whining from some impatient people.

We almost all waited up or set an alarm to get up to order. We all hoped for a release date delivery as we did it. We were all surprised when the confirmation came in with a much later date than we'd hoped for but we were all old about delivery. My personal conf was 00:09:55 and the origial promise was May 15-29. That moved up slightly to May 13-27. There's hope that this may improve more.

There are minor variances in conf. time and going to ship. Easily explained because of shipping efficiency logistics where routing a skid of orders to a certain region makes sense. So maybe somebody after you gets their watch first. You are going to live.

We're all in the situation but why do some think it's cool to complain about how long it is taking? It's almost for sure going to be sooner than you were promised. Chill out, relax and wait your turn.

I'd rather see real concrete information here than cries because we don't have our toys yet.

Totally agree. I'm a 2:08:10 (email confirmation). Getting pretty excited though as the times get closer. But when I made the order, it said May 13-27...still does. I was cool with that then, and I'm cool with that now...just hoping against hope, that maybe I get it sooner. Shoulda known that the Space Gray was going to be so popular. The only two I wanted was the Sport Space Gray, and the Stainless Space Black with the black link bracelet. But $1099, so I got the sport space gray.

My two faves too! Could not open the wallet enough for the Black SS though.

If it is any consolation I know a guy who is an Apple employee (and I only just found out he worked on Watch related projects but no details. Apple secrecy you know) and he has a Black SS w/link bracelet and his delivery date is July!

Be glad you didn't go with the SB SS. They haven't seen ANY movement yet.

I am in the same boat. Really wanted that one, but couldn't justify it on a first generation. Maybe if this one ends up being as awesome as I think it is, then for the next generation I will feel justified spending the extra money.

I know. That was why I pointed out an Apple employee I know that was on the project has a July ship date for is SS Black.

Did they not know that everybody would want these black ones? I mean I know Tim Cook was sportin' a white banded SS version...but when I looked at the watches, it wasn't even a hard decision. Obviously I wish I liked another version more, because maybe I'd have it by now!

Yep. My only real disappointment was the estimated date was so much later than I expected. Especially since the system didn't even let me get in on time plus they had a hiccup on my phone number that delayed things more - otherwise I would likely have it by now.

But that's the way it goes.

Maybe people could look at it this way. A number of people have said they should have waited another week for orders (still with the 2 week wait) or do pre-orders with a 3 week wait.

Okay, that would certainly make more available on the first day. So how about everyone just pretend that happened and so the first official deliveries were not due until May 1st! And all those who got them the week before got really really lucky! :D

It's all in the mind!

I think I have found the perfect band for the SG!

Just would need the Click adapter... I think I'm about to pre-order it. Sucks the shipping is in June....

Other option, which I think may look better, is the Monowear adapter. Right now they are not selling them separate, but they said they have gotten the request a lot and may do it in the future. I already preordered the black band from them, but from the latest pictures, it looks like they are just using the cheap generic band you can find on Amazon for $20.

I have that band on one of my watches and its HEAVY ....prolly would want in on a aluminum watch

This is the most annoying launch.

Agreed!

I have been following this thread, checking my CC to see if it was charged, constantly checking status...the funny thing is I don't really want the SG.

I ordered because I was a little on the fence of which watch I wanted and I was caught in the excitement of the launch. The SG and SB were both good options.

I think I'm going with the SS SB, but I am not canceling this order. Especially because the SS SB seems to be the pink unicorn. I wonder if it even exists?
