I first got tracking data this morning.
So far:
Suzhou, CN: 5/27 12:27 pm - origin, 2:15 pm - departure
Shanghai, CN: 5/27 3;15 pm - arrival, 7:09 pm - export
[those are China times -- which seems to be, conveniently, 12 hours off of Eastern time]
Of course, there's also this line:
China 05/27/2015 10:58 P.M. Order Processed: Ready for UPS
Which corresponds to 10:58 am EDT. Which is 90 minutes from now. Not sure what that means.
I was hoping that maybe it was already in the US, and would get to the local depot sometime this afternoon (at which point, *maybe* I could've picked it up this evening). But I think it'll probably drive up from Louisville overnight.
Still, impressively quick.
Ordered:
7:11 am EDT 4/10 [all times EDT]
Orig *shipping* window:
June
Updated window:
May 29 - June 11
Updated Updated window:
June 3 - 5
Preparing for shipment:
midday May 26
Updated *delivery* window:
June 4-6
Credit card charged:
7:00ish pm May 26
Shipping notification email from Apple:
1:30 am May 27
Apple delivery target:
1 June (from shipment notice email)
UPS Delivery target:
29 May
"Early delivery" target from UPS:
28 May, between 1 and 5 pm
So it seems, for me at least (all times rounded somewhat, and inexact due to when I may have remembered to check):
* T+0: Preparing for Shipment
* T+6 hours: credit card charged
* T+12 hours: Shipping notice from Apple, departed factory
* T+18 hours: Cleared customs export scan
* T+48 hours (or so): Expected delivery
Not sure if this timeframe will hold for others, but hopefully it can help.
