Sorry dude, definitely sucks. Here's my story of woe:
Imagine though that your job is to review and analyze new consumer technology for your company to utilize and it's the day before your Father-In-Law's sudden funeral. You've flown cross country three times that week for him, he passed away the day before your birthday, which you then spent driving 8 hours through the midwest. You spend most of April 9th flying through Atlanta, having your plane cancelled, then replacement flight changed 3 times before getting to your destination and losing your bag. You finally put your bags down and sit on the bed at 12:45am CST the morning of April 10th. Knowing that nothing will really take away hurt or pain of the moment that you're in, one can still find temporary solace in small oasis', and Apple is one of those. You pull up the Apple Store app on your phone and prepare to have it ready to go. Your body begins to power down and you fight it but can't stop it. You then wake up several hours later in a panic, knowing you're definitely screwed but log your order as fast as possible. It's too late, and you know that you've missed the first wave...
All you wanted for your birthday was this Watch. The first new product from a company you have watched and loved since you were 10. You diligently waited in line for the original iPod, iPhone, and iPad on launch day. You consistently get asked at work how excited you are. Then you have to break to them the real awful news and the fact that you've failed at your job of being a super nerd on top of it. You have friends who work for the company, you call in all your favors, grasp at straws, then slowly accept that it's just going to suck and deal with it.
Dem the breaks sometimes guys, life sucks and isn't awesome. I really feel at this point it's never going to come (my coworker is getting her Sport she ordered with a June date tomorrow), and if it does I'll just resent it for making my blood pressure increase even more and making me distracted from being there for my wife. I'm sure a lot of us are in the same boat, just thought I'd use this chance to pull up a chair to our Watchaholics Anonymous meeting here and spill.
