Hey guys,

We came, we saw, we conquered. This is the thread for everyone who ordered a new penryn MBP and waiting for it to be delivered. Photos wanted!! I ordered the base model at 5:36am. Next day delivery

well, I am a little dissapointed, I wanted a new keyboard and the same form factor on the touchpad, but its still multi-touch. anyway, did anyone else order?

Is there any way Apple Retail stores would have them in stock today, considering the shipping times are 1-3 days?

Its possible. I am definitely going into my local store when it opens (right before) to grab one if they have it, since I didn't customize. Then I will just cancel the online order...

Mine is maxed out (2.6ghz, 200gig 7200rpm, 4gb, glossy (!), remote) + next day shipping. I am so fricken excited.

I've got a march 3rd - march 6th estimate. what does yours say?

Baseline 2.4 15" for $1599, sweet sweet ADC membership... I have 4gb of pc2-6400 ram sitting here waiting to find a good home (it was just as cheap as pc2-5300 and backwards compatible)

Delivery Feb29-March6 due to regular shipping

I got base model, wanted 7200 rpm, but didn't wanna wait for it to ship. Its not that big of a deal to me. Ships by 27-29 delivers by 28-march 3. I am going into the local store when it opens to see if I can grab one.

Yes, I ordered!

It's my first Mac, and this is my last PC. I'll be gone when it gets here, so I get to come back to it!

MBP:
2.5GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
MacBook Pro 15-inch Widescreen Display
2GB 667 DDR2 SDRAM - 2x1GB
200GB Serial ATA @ 7200 rpm
SuperDrive 8X (DVD+/-R DL/DVD+/-RW/CD-RW)
Backlit Keyboard/Mac OS - U.S. English
Accessory Kit

The excitement is overwhelming. At least until it gets here. THEN it'll be overwhelming!

Did you guys notice how the multi-touch trackpad only FUNCTIONS like the MBA, but in fact the form factor of its shape/size did not change? Kinda disappointing, as I was pretty sure that the MBA had a bigger trackpad than the MBP because of the gestures.

YESSS

likewise, first mac, last PC. Just finished ordering it

2.5 MPB 15"
2 GB Ram (gonna get 4 from crucial)
250GB HD
remote control
.mac

so friggin excited.

Ships bet Feb 28th and March 3rd.
Delivery bet March 3rd and 6th.

WOHOOOOOO

Oh haha, oops. I did NOT intend to actually start a list like Brainstorm did on the waiting thread. This is more to mirror the Official List: MR Members waiting for MacBook AIR to ship thread. So if anyone wants to start a list, be my guest, and have fun!

Now a contest to see who can post a picture of their penryn MBP FIRST. You need to include a pic of the machine, and of the box it came in to show the specs. BUT CROP OR SMUDGE OUT YOUR SERIAL NUMBER. We want to see the model number. That is necessary since there are NO physical/visible changes to this MBP. The prize? .............. That's right, you guessed it. NOTHING but props!

I'm going to the local Apple Store to see if I can grab one in a couple hours...

Let the race begin! Anyone with me on this?

The Hi-Res Screen delayed mine a bit.....

Yeah...it seems I can't purchase the maxed out 17" MBP under the education area (keep getting the "Oops! There was an error with your session"). The other models I am able to 'add to cart' though...I'll keep checking it.

I can't believe I just ordered my new MBP!!! I'm upgrading from my iBook and I can't wait. I got the base model with my education discount. I can't wait until it's here :D
