What do you think the chances are of a 46 mm AW this fall?

Not even close.😁 And I say that, not because Apple ‘can’t’ release a larger Apple Watch model, it would be a very small demographic, especially given how large the 44 mm is. I suspect 46 mm would be comically large, when the new display sizes are ideal. Traditionally for the last five years, Apple has only offered two sizes, I don’t see them expanding to a third display/size, especially when they realize what it would cost for them to manufacture an entirely new casing/display for a model that probably wouldn’t be that popular, given that it will also start at a Likely higher price point.

Ouch. Maybe if they were curved the slightest bit that would work. I can’t imagine them being heavier and larger as they are

All my mechanical watches are either 44mm or 46mm so I'd definitely buy a 46mm AW. Plus, for me, it's a communication device so I don't feel constrained by what other people think or see as normal etc ?

I can’t see that happening as the 44mm is already large enough to serve bigger people and those who want a larger display. The 44mm is far too big for my wrists already and hope they don’t try and increase sizes again.

I definitely think there is a market for a 46mm model. Samsung already makes a watch in that size.

Although true Samsung does offer a larger model smart watch, I think it really is for a very small demographic. It just is too ‘top-heavy’ on the wrist, when you don’t want a smart watch to be to obtrusively large. Like I said, some might want a larger display, but I do think they’ll be a very small minority.

Thinking about this more - I believe that introducing a 3rd size watch at such a close sizing to the 44mm, for example, would lead to one issue: Looking back recently at threads for when the S5 was released - I noticed that there were a lot of people who were ordering both sizes 40/44 online and then trying them out at home - then returning the one they didn't want. I remember thinking wow - Apple must be getting a lot of returns of perfectly fine watches that have been opened.

With 3 sizes all so close, I could see that becoming more of an issue for Apple with even more returns.

What does Apple do with those returns where someone just tried it for sizing and returned it?
