To me "Apple Care" is like a warm fuzzy blanket in the middle of a heat wave.
Sure every Apple product I have ever bought , I have bought Apple Care.
The only problem is there phone support , it is BAD , i mean bad...
Most of the time they ( people on the other end ) have no clue what going on , I was trying to set up a wireless printer last year and was on the phone with Lexmark for over an hour m finally the Lexmark tech said " I have no idea what to do , I`ll research it and in the mean time you should call Apple" .

Called Apple Care support number waited.... finally someone answered , I tried to explain the problem , the person just didn`t get what I was talking about , they wanted me to reinstall my system software ( that seems to be there standard fix all ) which of course rarely does any good.
After about 45 min`s he said hang on let me connect you with a tech ... da what am I paying for.
Anyway , I got to talk with a tech and he said that model printer won`t work wirelessly with Apple products , Lexmark knows this and there future models will have a fix that works m his advice , take the printer back for a refund , which I did.
That conversation lasted about 2 min.
So over an hour with Lexmark + about 45 min with Apple Care rep.
Like I said , if the Apple products breaks , it is good to have,
But there phone support need a lot of work.
2nd need for Apple Care:
I have a wireless keyboard & mouse , last Jan, the scroll button would not scroll down , called the Apple Store where I bought it , had I make an appointment on line , went there the next day waited in line for about an hour and a half they finally checked my mouse and wanted to fix it ( they could not ) so they gave me a refurb , I tried it before I left the store and that didn`t work at all.
I said " you had better get me a brand new one---NOW " they did , it worked.
Just some things about Apple Care that everyone need to know !
