49mm Milanese loop scratches

Just got my Ultra 2 and I’m interested in the Milanese loop. Curious if the loop can scratch the sapphire or wear down the titanium by rubbing against it?
 
I guess it can if youre not careful. Had mine since they launched and worn most days and no scratches that I can see so far.
