Not sure how reliable

No Verizon iPhone in WWDC 2010: iPhone 4G price starts from $199

It was reported today that Verizon iPhone will not be released in the Worldwide Developers’ Conference 2010. Apple announced early this month that it will host the WWDC 2010 from June 7. The conference will be held in San Francisco. Report further said that CDMA based iPhone will be released in 2012 unless Apple renegotiates the terms of iPhone exclusive contract with AT&T.
On the other note, the prices of different categories of iPhone 4G were emerged today. 64GB iPhone will be sold for $299 with two year contract whereas 32GB iPhone 4G will be available for $199 with the two years AT&T voice and data contract. Apple has not released any detail of iPhone 4G therefore all information including the pricing details are unconfirmed.
Apple has reportedly ordered 24.5 million iPhone 4G. There was also a rumor that California based company has ordered 10 million iPhone CDMA or Verizon iPhone. However these details are based on rumors circulating through multiple mediums.

Nope... Pure BS on the 64GB iPhone.

And there's no good reason to make a CDMA iPhone this year... Apple should just wait for LTE to become mainstream.

No 64GB iPhone this year... that will be the bump up for next year.

$99 3GS 16GB
$199 G4 16GB
$299 G4 32GB

These are my (and alot of other people's) predictions

I am more inclined to think you are right, however, I was really hoping for a 64gb version myself :-/ i can still hope lol :)

16 GB 3GS for $99
32 GB HD for $199
64 GB HD for $299.

64 GB based on:
Exhibit A: https://www.macrumors.com/2009/12/15/64gb-iphone-and-128gb-ipod-touch-possible-in-1st-quarter-2010/
Exhibit B: http://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/iPad-Wi-Fi-Teardown/2183/2 (Scroll down to Step 16)

+1. Flash memory prices are rising. 32GB MLC Flash Memory prices were Nov, 2008 = $43 / May, 2009 = $60 / May, 2010 = $60.

I would wager it is down to simple economics rather than anything else. Greater demand therefore they can increase the price without sustaining a detrimental affect on sales - in fact sales will continue to increase.

64 GB chips exist right now and are being used in the iPad. That was my only point in posting the teardown.

1) The teardown you posted doesn't show a 64 GB chip. It shows an 8 GB chip. They identified it as a 64 gigabit chip. A 64 GB chip would be a 512 Gbit chip. Clearly you do not understand the difference between a bit and a byte.

2) No, the iPad does not use a 64 GB chip. It uses two 8 GB chips in the 16 GB model, two 16 GB chips in the 32 GB model, and two 32 GB chips in the 64 GB model.

My mistake about the iPad. The iPhone 3GS does however have one slot, and 64 GB modules are out. I'm still standing behind my prediction.

And yes, I do understand the difference between bit and byte.

As far as I know, only one manufacturer is producing such a chip. If it is used in the iPhone, I do not think it can possibly be cheap enough to meet a $299 price point.

And you'll forgive me if I don't put much faith in the predictions of someone who can't tell the difference between 64 Gbit and 64 GB, even when it is pointed out to them twice.

And yes, I do understand the difference between bit and byte.

Sure you do.

Uh yeah I do, we clearly weren't on the same page.

That's what it will be this year.

WFT? You looked at the same page I did, and you thought it showed proof that the iPad used a 64 GB NAND Flash memory chip, despite repeatedly being corrected. There is no way that you could have repeatedly made that mistake unless you did not understand the distinction between a 64 Gbit memory chip and a 64 GB one. That's not being on a different page, that's you being wrong.

You're all taking this a little too seriously. I was mistaken in thinking they used a single chip, not the difference between bytes and bits, move the **** on.

Price point to who? Remember, Apple is getting ~$599 for the top end iphone from ATT... so the $299 price point is irrelevant. A 64GB model is completely doable. Not only that, Steve Jobs keeps saying that the update will be 'mind blowing' and 'incredible' etc, etc. With that in mind I fully expect to see a 64GB phone in one weeks time :)

i also believe that apple will have a 32 gb and 64 gb version

since its supposeably HD, you are going to need a lot of storage place

if those reports are true that flash memory price are rising, i would think that would not be that big of a factor

didnt they do a pricing on how much it cost to produce an iphone, its like around $184 and they sell it to AT&T for 600ish

id put my money that its gonna jump to 32 and 64

I'm not sure about 64GB now, because the 4G leaked in Vietnam was 16GB. Which leads me to believe we'll be getting 16/32 again. Unless they do something like this:

16GB 3GS- $99
16GB G4- $199
32GB G4- $299
64GB G$- $399
