4GB 17 w/ high res glossy @ 250gb

I need a notebook replacement. I can't wait to go back to mac, but there are a few things I am fearful about... namely my password keeper MiniSafe, blackberry sync with Outlook, Office 2007 itself (which I know is due out at the end of the year for mac).

Is the top end 17 really worth it now or will the LED 17 come out soon?

17" MBP Will Probably Not Go LED Before 2009

Buy your own 2GB sticks for $250. 17" LED is way out into 2009 from everything I've read here.

I doubt that a new LED 17" will come out until at least the next update cycle, which will probably be about 6 months from now.

Office 2004 runs well right now under Rosetta, and I've read that users of Office 2007 aren't happy with the new format (or whatever it is) and are actually keeping away from it, due to incompatibilities.
