4GB enough for running Windows 7 via Parallels?

It works well enough for basic tasks like Office or Quicken (I ran Windows 7 in a VM for almost 2 years on 4GB MacBook Air setups). However, with the 8GB option now an extra $100 on the 2012 MacBook Air, it makes a lot of sense.
