4gb Kingston ram in 2010 15" MBP

Whenever I try to use this ram stick in my MBP, it gets to the login screen, begins to boot and resets. RAM works fine in a 2010 MacBook.... but not the pro? Tried an NVRAM reset and a SMC reset... same results. Any insight?

Yes. The RAM specs for both machines is the same. PC3-8500 @ 1066

Tried another brand... it appears it just cant handle 4gb sticks

I used 2 x 4 gb ddr3 1333 from Crucial and it was fine in a 2010 15" MBP with gt330m graphics.

Is your 4 GB Kingston high or low density?
