4K/60 + iPhone X + Final Cut Pro X Is Just Wonderful!

I can’t believe how fast and buttery smooth editing the 4K 60 footage from the iPhone X is...and it’s beautiful!

I haven’t finished my edit yet but as soon as it is, I’ll post a link to it.

I’m glad I didn’t fall for the GH5! Saved lots of dough in the process, and yes, the iPhone X is worth its price tag for me (a fellow videographer).

Did you have to updated to high Sierra to import the clips to Final Cut Pro?

Are you slowing down the 60 frames to 24 frames in your edit? That gives a great look...

While you wait, here’s is a good video showcasing the iPhone 8 Plus’s 4K 60fps capabilities. I swear, the footage is nothing but the same on my X, with the exception of the slightly better aperture on the X’s telephoto:

Make sure you play this on Google Chrome, which supports 4K 60 playback. Sorry, but Safari and the Youtube iOS app doesn’t do it.

I wish I was. I didn’t do this video, either...just an example and I agree, the shots are beautiful! This got me excited for the X while I was waiting for it.

I’ve been wanting to go to DisneyWorld since I was a kid but haven’t had the chance yet. Although I’ve been to Disneyland in Cali nunerous times. 🙂
