Hi all. Has anyone here had any success with getting reliable 4K at 60Hz from an HDMI adapter with a 2016 MBP? I've tested a couple adapters but none worked properly. I'm fully confident that I'm connecting it to HDMI 2.0 ports so I'm not sure what the problem is, especially since Apple says the following:

"MacBook (Retina, 12-inch, Early 2016) and late-2016 MacBook Pro models support 60Hz refresh rates over HDMI when used with a supported HDMI 2.0 display, an HDMI Premium Certified cable, and a supported USB-C to HDMI 2.0 adapter."

What monitor are you connecting to, and with what adapters and cables?

In some cases, if I recall right, you have to push the option button to get the full resolution options to show.

The monitors I'm using are LG 27UD88 and LG 27UD68. The adapters I've used are Club 3D (didn't work) and Anker (worked but was extremely unreliable - constant flickering and it actually became quite warm to the touch).

Yes, I did press option to open 'low resolution modes' and I could set it to 60Hz on Anker but it was not reliable at all.

Yes, I use the Google cable for DP 4K 60Hz and it works perfectly but I need HDMI 2.0 for connection to my AV Receiver.

Could be your cable. I see from Amazon that quite a few people have had success with the Club 3D adapter (some mention the order of connection can matter). Of course, you might have just had bad luck and gotten a defective adapter. (I didn't check on the Anker.)

Have you used that cable?

Yes, it was perhaps my cable. But what worries is me is that there are quite a few negative reviews for each.

I use a similar cable from Google currently for 4K/60Hz. But I would rather not use Displayport as I'm looking to connect the MBP to my AV Receiver, which only has HDMI inputs.

Shoot, my bad, didn't see the previous post.
