6 Years for OLED on iPad whoa ! That is a hyperbole ! I would imagine around 3 years !
Your comment definitely hasn't aged well sir🤔... Apple will be stuck with Mini-Led for a while, this summer they'll announce the new iPad Pros (both Mini-Led) and you probably won't see an OLED screen before 2024 (~6 years from your comment sir, definitely not a hyperbole😌).

Some runmors have said the 12.9 will stay Mini-LED, but not the 11.

Pretty sure the idea that the iPad Pro 11ā€ will stay on edge lit LCD came from Apple. They explained that the 11ā€ didn’t get miniLED because it would have added thickness and weight. The implication—though not stated—was that wasn’t likely to change soon.

What we know about the 11-inch user is that they just love bringing a super-powerful iPad with them in a portable one-pound design... they just love the form factor of that. Whereas the user who is embracing the 12.9-inch display, they were looking for the largest canvas to do their most creative work on that product, and that made sense to bring that XDR technology to the 12-inch display for the iPad Pro.
