So, is there any way that I can hook a 4K DP monitor while charging my macbook?

There seems to be no adapters from Apple for this purpose. 😡

If not, what would be the best possible combination for this sort of experience?

I'm ready to spend $ for a monitor and a cable.

Does it have an HDMI input? HDMI can now do 4k.

That completely dependent on the version of HDMI. Saying HDMI in general can do 4K is a bit misleading as only the latest speck is capable of 4K.

4K@60Hz....
I have been able to get 4K@30Hz through HDMI (Windows machine). Of course, it's next to useless (30Hz, not Windows 🙄).
