Hello all,

I recently upgraded my 2019 MBP 16in to Ventura 13.0.1. I have an Acer Nitro XV282K 4k monitor connected directly by USB-C to my MBP and have the laptop running in clamshell mode. Unfortunately, I am suffering from blurry text, blurry icons, and generally poor display despite attempts at using BetterMonitor and multiple reboots. I did see this thread but given that I do not use a USB hub I don't know whether that could be the cause of my problems.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is driving me up the wall.

Update: tried font smoothing (defaults -currentHost write -g AppleFontSmoothing -int 3)
and still no improvement

Last bump - my apologies. I plugged in my wife's 2020 13in MBP that runs on Monterey 12.5 and it immediately natively ran the display resolution at 3360x1890 and looked perfect. That is not even a resolution offered to me on Ventura.
