I am constantly switching between using my company machine which is a Lenovo X1 Yoga with HDMI and Display Port output and a MacBook. Currently I am using the 15" 2015 Version which allows me to connect via HDMI to a normal Monitor which maxes out at the native resolution for both machines which is 2560x1440. However, updating my system I will move to a new MacBook Pro with Touch Bar and would like to make use of the Thunderbolt 3 connectivity to connect a 4k/UHD display (5K is overkill for me). However, I noticed that the LG Screens recommended are only sporting USB-C ports which are not supported by Lenovo. I therefore wonder how I can best find a display that:

-is at least 27" or higher and let's me connect the mBP via USB/TB3 to use it to its full extent
-offers ability to connect to the Lenovo via HDMI or Displayport
-ideally still offers similar functionality to the LD such as incorporating a USB-C Hub.

I have tried checking if there are HDMI to USB-C cables, but they only seem support connection from a USB-C port to an HDMI port on the display, not vice versa.

All the best and thanks for ideas!

Thank you I spotted that, on further research I think there is no option which also offers the USB C / TB3 port option... So need to compromise somewhere :-0
