Apparently it’s available on A12 and up. I have it on my ipad mini, but not on previous generation pros. So A12(X/Z) and newer. By the way you need ipados 14 and it only works on the youtube app, not in the browser...

My Apple TV 4K with the A10x has it — most of the time — so are we sure it’s chip dependent? I have not seen it on my 10.5 pro.

I’m getting 4K on my 2018 11” iPad Pro now, but only when signed in to my YouTube account (non-premium). Once I sign out, I’m capped at 1080p.

Same here. 2020 12.9 Pro and 4K only works with app in Incognito Mode. I have a YouTube subscription.

Yup same situation here. iPad Pro 2020 12.9. 4K works when switched to Incognito Mode. When I switch back to my account 1080p is the limit.

Yeah, I think we just have to be patient. We already know that it's hit and miss on the latest A12/A12Z iPad Pros and Apple has already said on their own public website that the Apple TV 4K is supported, so it seems like it's just going to take some time to roll out.

That said, even though the A10X Apple TV 4K is getting it, that doesn't guarantee the A10X iPad Pros will also get it.
