Hey guys!
I'm writing this after reading the universal JB guide and the other stickies on this board. Also, I'm not exactly new on JBing but I may know old and outdated information, so consider me misinformed.
TL;DR Version
Need to know the following for my 32gb iPhone 4s currently on iOS 6.1.3, locked on a Spain carrier
-What is the latest OS version jailbreakable?(preferred to run smooth as well if possible)
-What software must I use to do it?(I'll document myself further, just give me a name)
-Will JBing it make it neverlocked so I can use my country's Vodafone SIM?

I have a Spain-bought old 32GB iPhone 4s that I want to use with my country's Vodafone carrier(not Spain, obviously). It currently sits at 6.1.3 non jailbroken. I want to jailbreak it to the latest supported(and smoothly running) firmware so I can gain access to the artificial neverlock that JB enables(or it should, as I remember it was the software called ultrasn0w from Cydia). I want it on a recent firmware for as much appstore app support(mainly whatsapp though) as possible.

As far as I remember though, all iOS stops being jailbreakable as soon as Apple stops signing the iOS version so itunes starts giving a crappy error that no matter how much I searched, I couldn't fix. This is the reason why I would rely on direct user input from this forum over searching some old-ass article on the internet. They only tell you how in steps rather than why, so I'd stay safe with people that know exactly the why.

Sorry if this is another "How do i jailbreak" thread, but I couldn't help it

Thanks in advance for the help!

At the iPhone hacks section.
No, there is and never was a software unlock hack for the 4S.
Jailbreaking does not equal carrier unlocking a device.
The last iPhone unlock was for the iPhone 4 back in 2010 with ios 4. Since then there was no more software unlock hacks.
