4S recording video in lesser resolution?

I tried recording a video within the messaging app, and the video that ended up being saved to my camera roll definitely wasn't 16:9 and 1080p.

Looks like it prepares to send a lower quality file for messaging... anyone else have this?

Probably a good thing too, as it would cost a hell-of-a-lot to send 😉
