4S RINGER INOPERABLE SINCE UPGRADING to iOS7

I recently upgraded to iOS7. Since the upgrade, my 4S battery life has become worst and my phone ringer has begun to act up - no ringer sound on incoming calls. I've troubleshooted by doing the following:

REBOOT
CLOSED THE PHONE APP AND REOPENED IT

I'm not sure what else to do. Any suggestions?

My friend's 4 did this (but while it was still on iOS6) and he had to get a new phone. Do you still have warranty or AppleCare coverage?
