I just got a new iPhone 4S and one of the volume buttons seems to have a problem. Sometimes when I'm just listening to music and have my iPhone in my pocket, suddenly the volume will boost straight up to the top point. I had a look at the volume buttons and it seems that sometimes if I just brush my finger against the + button, it will put the volume up, even though I'm not pushing it in. I'm guessing this is why it sometimes increases the volume.

Anyone else experience this, either with the iPhone 4 or 4S?

EDIT: Looks like someone's already made a thread for a similar issue https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1257798/

Sounds like a faulty phone, return it for a replacement.

Obviously sounds like a hardware issue if you only need to brush the vol up button

+1 with this issue. Same story: do so much as graze the 'up' volume and it jumps, and fights me with the down volume.
