Hi. I have a big problem - my 4tb backup plus was accidently ejected and now it will not load up. It looks like it will not mount - it shows up in disk utility (see attached image) but whenever I click repair disk it starts but then it causes my macbook to shut down. I really want to recover the files that are on this disk. Has anyone got any suggestions PLEASE! Thanks in advance.

What happens if you select the drive itself in Disk Util up where is says 4TB Seagate... then try a repair disk.

if i click on 4tb seagate verify/repair disk are both greyed out. if only gives those options when i click on disk1s1
