Looks interesting! Really like that they measured GPS signal as well as phone signal. I also like the integrated plastic surround.

Those volume buttons look tacky and cheap. They should've made it just simple and not diamond bumpy or whatever.

Not my thing but I like that they did something different. If you want "just simple" buttons there are certainly other options out there for you.

I'll never understand the appeal of these types of cases. It offers minimal protections, adds insane amounts of unnecessary bulk, doesn't protect the back of the device, and it's overall making the iPhone look incredibly ugly.

This company made PRECISELY what I wanted: a stylish aluminum bumper that has a protective layer that won't scratch the iphone's bezel. The detailed computer mockups look very precise. I hope the real product is just as good.

The only thing I don't understand is why they left the back unfinished with the exposed polymer layer. Had they covered that up with aluminum, this would be perfect.

If it's under 70 they have a customer.

EDIT:

On second look, the polymer looks like it only protects the back of the phone, and not the front. WHY would they do that!? They obviously recognize the problem, but only chose to protect one side of the phone...

what? why? how much? i want one too!

I'll be reviewing it, and I don't know the price yet but it should be around $80. Too expensive if you ask me.

The back polymer frame looks like it also is a half bumper that slides around the iPhone keeping it protected around the edge. The front is a different matter. The Blade had just foam pads on the inside while the frame was made from thin aluminum. The corners weren't very comfortable in the hand. Hopefully this issue is fixed, but I doubt that. It is precision milled from what I can remember.

Yeah, I don't get why they went through all that trouble protecting the back and sides, and explicitly acknowledging and addressing the vulnerable bezel, to leave the front completely unprotected. If the phone drops face-down, the bezel is going to come in contact with the front of the bumper.

Insane bulk? Not so much. Those cases that the maximum protection it sounds like you so desire add insane bulk!

Wirelessly posted

I like the look of this case and can't wait for reviews. $79 is not bad considering other aluminum cases are twice the amount. Also, if you get a "brand name" poly case from a store, they usually cost between $20-30, just for plastic. I'll probably get one of these pending reviews.

looks nice, too bad it doesn't have a unique shape to it. that's what separates the average case from all the best ones, IMO.

It said in the review it did, of none of the actual phone touched the metal part of the case it wouldn't create a circuit to the two antennas
