Anyone noticed battery gate seems to be back with ios 5.1.1 on the 4s
No gates on my battery.
Nope. Works fine.
Time to wipe my iPhone then I think!
And, can we please stop "gating" everything while we're at it?
5.1 batterygate on iPad 1.
I'm still checking 5.1.1
No battery issues with my original iPad.
Agreed. It's old and at this point sad. If this one person is having a problem or thinks they are that is not an epidemic.
5.1.1 strategically designed to target a core group of users with forum access to see if they will exercise their constitutional rights to complain.
It's an evil plot crafted by the upstarts who brought you 5.1
No but the complain gate problem seems to still be there.
iOS 6 maybe?
It's ForumGate 2012.
No "gates" with my iPhone or iPad (3rd gen).
Yes!! 5.1.1. Is killing my battery!! I used to go the whole day just using 25% or so.. Now I'm down to 25% left at the end of the day! Help!
Just done a clean install of 5.1.1 I'll report back tomorrow after a full charge.
Let's see if my battery GATE issue is cleared up
If anything I saw an improvement in battery...
I've only used it for one day, so I will reserve judgement till later
You're charging it wrong.
my battery became alot better when iOS 5.1 got installed on my 4s and now its even better on 5.1.1
I hope this doesn't result in original poster satisfaction gate.
No offence intended. Hope this isn't interpretation gate.
I'm just expressing myself!
its been fine, i did a restore with 5.1 no issues. with 5.1.1
maybe you have the wrong settings in place
Don't think there is any gate:
My battery has never been brilliant on the 4S, I haven't noticed any changes since the update. My iPad battery is just as good as it was prior to update.
Well maybe, maybe not. I've got 4 iDevices, and about every third software update I'll have one device go wonky on the battery. Charge to 100% and unplug. Few hours later the device will drop 5-10% or more while my other iDevices might have moved 1%.
"Reset All Settings"
The device will keep all user content, songs, pics, media, app data, but all settings will be restored to default and passwords will need to be re-entered.
ONE NOTE OF CAUTION!
After the device reboots, you'll go thru the grey setup screens (language, siri, etc) At the end it will ask you if you want to setup as New or restore from backup. Choose setup as NEW. (don't worry, you only Reset all SETTINGS!)
You'll get dumped out into your familiar home screen, and you should be GTG.
Hope this helps!
