Did they fix the complication issue for the new watch faces (i.e., they don’t allow many of the complications)?

For the record, it's not that they don’t allow the existing complications to be used, it’s that the new faces require an additional set of complications to be coded. If they haven’t updated the app with the new set, then they won’t appear. They'll trickle in as the various devs get around to it.

While I understand this, even many of Apple’s native apps don’t work so I’m not sure it’s solely a developer issue.

But are the missing stock app complications ie messages working now in 5.1?

Haven’t tried but those who have say no.

I suspect they are doing wonderful things for dynamic stuff like messages and missed the cut for 5.0, when even a static icon would have been preferable to nothing.
