5.1 or jailbreak?

I am on 5.0.1 right now but I was wondering if I should just update to 5.1 and loose my jailbreak or stay on 5.0.1 keep my jailbreak and wait for the jailbreak for 5.1?

i'm gonna wait. Too many tweaks to lose if I upgrade to 5.1

The tethered version of 5.1 is out, but that's a deal breaker for me.



anyone see any significant performance changes to warrant losing JB and upgrading to 5.1?

I made the mistake of upgrading to 5.1, and now can't revert back to my jailbroken 5.0.1. Bummer. Any idea how long it will take for a jailbreak of 5.1 to come out? Hopefully a few weeks...

Thats why there are lots of threads and blogs saying don't do it yet.

Even the dev team so no, especially if you have an a5 chip device.

Tethered and semi tethered exist for the 4 right now and possibly in the coming weeks/months an un tethered for the iPhone 4

The iPhone 4s is still an unknown as of yet.

As far as I understand things their are different exploits for the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s.

A4 and a5 chip is the issue.


I may be wrong and I hope so because I want the jailbreak devs to be ahead of apple always !

So this is not me saying the 4 will get the untethered jb before the 4s.

If you read the currents blogs you will learn that the devs are having real issues with an exploit for the 4s currently.
