First of all, I'm sorry for making this thread ...

Is there any estimated date for the untethered jailbreak for 5.1?

Also, since I don't want to make another thread for this, things that bug me in 5.1:

1. When you're moving apps, if you touch an empty space they go out of wiggle mode
2. You can't edit photos in the camera app
3. The new unlock screen doesn't feel right, I'm not a fan
4. The brightness settings is still too hard to get to, make it so I can pull down the notification centre and slide the brightness. Also, add a kill all apps button to the notification centre.

I just got my iPhone 4S. I did an automatic software upgrade, and I'm on ios 5.1. Now I tried to jailbreak it and found that it's not available yet! Geez!

Question: Chances that a refurb iPhone 4S comes with 5.1??

I'm just going to continue to be patient. My phone as of late has been acting up and I just want to exchange it but my JB means to much to me to lose it.

Thanks for the input.

Wow that sucks. A lot of people stuck without a jailbreak and this guy doesn't want to release it just cause.

In my opinion, the issue isn't that he wont release it. All software developers can do whatever they want to with what they've written. The issue is the arrogance and attitude of i0n1c for posting this information.

I had to stop following him. 99% of his tweets were bitter drivel.

Yeah I guess you're right.

Hey, maybe next time you won't do an "automatic" software update...

Actually I bought a $5.99 game, and when installing it it says iOS5 is required, so I clicked yes, because I don't want to waste the $5.99.

Thank goodness I didn't have to wait long. Now I'm on JB.

It's also entirely possible that the jailbreak he has done to his phone is not something that can be publicly distributed due to rights issues.
