The phone was fine just before the update and now after the update the home button just refuses to work!

R Rami98 macrumors member Nov 6, 2011 34 0 Detroit, MI Mar 8, 2012 #4 If those suggestions don't work, try the home button recalibration method. 1) Open a stock apple application. ie one that comes with a factory fresh iPhone (weather, stocks, calendar, safari, etc.) 2) Hold the power button until the slide to power off slider comes up. 3) Now hold the home button for a couple seconds until the slider goes away and the iPhone returns to the homescreen. 4) Enjoy your more responsive, working home button!
