5.5 MMS Carrier file installed on 3Gs (3.0) - can send but CANNOT RECEIVE!

Installed the official 5.5 carrier file on my 3Gs with 3.0, rebooted.

Can send MMS

CANNOT RECEIVE MMS - when an MMS is sent to me, I get the tri-tone alert and then I lose all network/data connectivity. Signal strength bars, AT&T, and 3G icon disappear and I get "searching..." then it reconnects me to 3G.

I have rebooted, and reset all network settings and still cannot receive an MMS with out it killing my data connection.

i had the same error on 3.0 with my 3gs

I called att and told em i was on 3.1 and had already tried to restore and apply 5.5 with factory default settings. So they did an over the air update fixed it instantly after reboot. took all of but 10 minutes (talking to their stupid automated system)

So you were having the exact same issue? Could send but receiving killed your data connection?

So far your the only person who has responded with the same problem. I am going to try your suggestion and call att. *crosses fingers*
