Its so CRAZY and funny at the same time. Why the hell have your 5 iPhones with the same screen size???? Thats not innovation at all!! People need choices!! At least have two iPhones 4S: one with the 3.5 screen and the other with a bigger one.

And now will need to wait another year for a 4 sceeen only?? Four more years for 4.3 screen? Apple wont change the screen size twice in 2 years... They havent done any change on 5 years!! WOW!!!

You're right. Their stock value is through the roof, breaking record after record, they can't even produce enough supplies to meet demand. WTF is Apple thinking making all their investors richer quarter after quarter? They should abandon what works to appease the geeks which make up 0.0001% of their bottom line.

Same thing I've been saying. 3.5" is ideal. Anything more than that is just a tablet phone and a nuisance...

HAHA! Where have you been!? Adding .5 to the screen does NOT make it a nuisance and a tablet phone. We're not in 2007 anymore. People do not want to look at the same small 3.5" screen.

OMG, Apple only offer 11", 13", 15" and 17" notebooks! I want 12", 14", 19" and 21"!

Apple are going for the market of people who don't want a huge phone, yet fully featured. Seems to be working.

3.5'' is ideal...for you. I'd prefer a 4'' screen to see and read documents without straining my eyes.

Why are they getting richer if they haven't changed the screen size? Because of the phone and the OS itself. I'll probably buy an iPhone 4 even if it has a 3,5'', but this doesn't mean that it's my ideal screen size.

Thus the need for TWO phones - one 3.5" one 4"+. Different preferences, different phones. Yu can still have your small size if you don't think bigger is better. :p

Jeez - HTC makes like 30 completely DIFFERENT phones. Apple can't make 2 new designs at once?

But they offer FOUR screen sizes and the iPhone only one. You missed your own point. ;)

But only 2 sizes of MBA and 3 MBP. I want a 17" MBA. Or a 19" MBP. Basically, my point is that Apple can never meet everybody's expectations/demands, so they have to decide what market they are aiming for, and the best way to meet that.

The iPhone is aimed at the every day consumer (i.e.: biggest market). The person who doesn't want a huge screened phone in their pocket.

But they could meet a SIGNIFICANT portion of the iPhone market that want a 4"+ phone by just making ONE of that size.

The 4.3'+ Android phone are selling quite well. ;)

But with two screen sizes you get two screen resolutions (to maintain the iPhone retina 'quality), which fragments the market and makes iOS development more complicated, pushing devs away from the platform. Secondly, you begin to dilute your own design language and platform coherence from a consumer perspective. Single device = easy choice.

Whilst it wouldn't be impossible for Apple to offer 2 screen sizes, it isn't a clear cut decision.

Sounds more like you need glasses, not a bigger screen. I can read it just fine with 20/20 vision even at full arm length.

The next one will have a 3D screen.

Well... there are different people out there. No one in my family want to carry a phone that has a larger screen then 3.5".
