    um

How many of these use afp?

    I thought that was important.

I'm not sure. But I know they all support both Mac & Windows, and will work with Time Machine.

I was asking because it was only couple of days ago people realised that the Airport Base Station usb drives would not work with Time Machine.

This article seems to think that 'any' network drive will work.

I have the WD MyBook World Edition II (no1 on their list) and I can confirm it has next to no features. SMB only. So if common knowledge about only AFP shares working with TM is correct, no it will not work.

    Hope that helps.

They are listed in no specific order. Just felt it was better to number them.
