ok then... not sure why my link does not show the 5 W charger, but both your links shows direct product link of the charger, not when you do a filtered search

what I did was
1. click made by apple
2. filter on the left, pick charger

then browse the filter result, the 5W charger is not there

Im not sure of that method, but I used the magnifying glass icon. This is at the top of apple.com to the right of the Support link and I typed in "5w charger". There wasn't anything to filter.

You said it’s no longer sold “online.” That’s not true.

Meanwhile I see that they’re now selling the 18W iPad charger separately, which is good news.

Anyway if you need a USB-A charger there is zero reason whatsoever to not get the 12W iPad charger.

They’re approximately the same size, but the 12W charger has folding prongs (nice for travel) and a removable ‘duckhead’.

do you know if it's possible to buy just one duckhead? Apple sells a whole set (UK, EU, etc), but I just need the EU head, not UK head.

Now that I don’t know! I would imagine that if you bought it in the EU, it would have a compatible duckhead. And there would have to be a million of them on eBay or Amazon?

Yeah, but for some reason my kid prefers to pocket a 5W OEM charger over the 10-12W charger or even the dual chargers from Aukey or Anker that are between the two volume and weight wise and also have folding prongs.

The main thing I personally don’t like about the 12W is that it’s form factor limits what can be plugged into the other outlet in a wall outlet.
