My iPad developed dust under the screen and Apple swapped it. Great except my awesome Zagg leather skin is now ruined. FML!

I'm not familiar with those skins. You mean they aren't reusable?

Instead of telling us Apple ruined it, shouldn't you be telling the people who worked on your screen that they ruined it?

I'm pretty sure you can rip it off the old iPad and get a replacement skin to put on your replacement.

I guess that's why they don't sell them in stores anymore. People used to ask them to replace the protector as well.

This is 100% the reason. I was so glad when we stopped carrying them in our store. I feel bad for the OP, but sheesh.

Um, no quality control program in the world is going to make 100% of products completely defect free. It's impossible when pumping out the massive quantities of products that companies like Foxconn does.

    Sorry to burst your bubble.

I think we all wish we had your life if that was a FML moment for you....

You'd be out a lot more money paying for the increased quality control. Nothing is perfect, and that is why we place emphasis on warranty these days.

Next time just get a cheap screen protector and a case.

lulz @ spending $50 on a piece of film. They should send you another.

BSE will send replacements. BSE is awesome.

Just my opinion, but seems like it was $50 wasted before going to Apple... :p

Did Apple force you to put that on your iPad?

Of course they did. Apple did a study and realized that the worlds whiner quotient was down 3%. It's back to normal now.

Yeah, hit Zagg up for a replacement. They seem to have a pretty good policy. (you'll get hit up for Shipping & Handling though.)

I'm using the leather "incase" book style case for mine. It has a band to keep it closed, plus holds the iPad in typing or movie-watching position. Got it on release day, and it's still holding up great. I'm not a fan of "films".

How's apple to blame for this? you're the one who overpaid for a piece of film thats not reusable. tone it down next time and buy a case, like most people do. and if you insist on covering your ipad in a film (pointless), at least use a less expensive one.
