When I write stuff down, some stuff gets marked wrong when I write the British words. Basically, how do I make my Mac British?

be happy you don't have to install 'additional software' to use different languages like other operating systems

International > Formats > United Kingdom

You do not need to make a new account.

Doesn't get the dictionaries correct, however.

Macs have a tendency to prefer US English and not much else.

I've resigned myself to tursting my speeling.

see what i did there? ;)

In any application using the spelling checker, press "Command-Shift-:" (colon, the character above the semicolon) and the spelling + grammar check panel is shown. In the popup-menu at the bottom, choose the language of your choice, for example British English, Australian English or Canadian English.

Thanks. :)
Though, I wonder what's the difference between Australian English and British English is?
