Just wondering how long we all on average waste on getting to work/school every day?

Please vote according to how long it takes one way, not round trip.

It used to be a 5 minute walk, but ever since i left my flat it's now a 20 minute drive in my car. Although that's only until the schools open back up. At that point i'll be using my bike :)

About 45 minutes depending on traffic and time of day
Quicker in the morning (I leave early)
Slower coming back (more traffic)

15 minute drive to train station, 30 minutes on train (if running to time) and 5 minute walk. However, for the next 6 weeks the drive will only be 10 minutes as the schools have finished for the summer and the roads will be a lot less busy.

10 seconds. Unless I shut down my computer the night before, then it takes about 1 minute. And, yes, I go to work before I go to the bathroom in the mornings.

If I take the train, it's about an hour door to door, but if I drive, it could be 60 to 90 minutes, I've been stuck on the highway for close to 2.5 hours in a winter storm. That's why I usually take the train.

I used to live in St Paul, and work in Minneapolis. The commute then was 30 minutes.

Now I live in Minneapolis and work in St Paul (on the same block as my old condo) and the commute is 60 minutes.

What is wrong with me??

Depends a bit on how I get to the train (a 15 minute bike ride to the station or a walk and then a ride on the Dinky shuttle) and then an hour train ride, and a 15 minute subway ride. Overall just under 2 hours door to door. My iphone and Macbook have made the hour train ride almost enjoyable.

That's not good for the bladder. Personally I tap the mouse to wake the display and head off to pee. But I don't work at home.

8 miles. 7-12 minutes. All highway.

I'm not sure how I should vote.

For work, it takes me 15 minutes from when i leave the house to when I am at work ready to go.

School takes a little over an hour. ~50 minutes on the train followed by a 2 block walk to the bus or 15-20 minute walk to class.

I can do it in a 30 minute walk

or a 15 minute motorbike ride if I'm feeling lazy
