Hi all,
Can anyone suggest me if I can use 55 or 65 inch OLED Lg TV with Mac Mini.
Is it easy to use it or its something non compatible.
Input will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance..

How close are you sitting? 48" CX would be the better match if you are looking at sitting at a desk. I guess the question is what is your use case?

Thanks for the response.
Using it almost from 7-8 feet to look at ct scans and read or write emails / read 1-2 pages long pdf.

I have to admit, that is an odd use case! To be honest, I am not sure what advice to give. That distance is pretty far for looking at text. The size of the monitor will help, but the text itself still isn't going to be huge. Is there a reason you are that far away? Why not a smaller monitor sitting closer?

On a side note, personally I do not think I would get an LG CX and pair it with a Mac mini. Generally a monitor/TV of that class (large OLED 4k120) is really meant for gaming. I don't think it would make a great productivity experience.

Thank you for educating me.
I am not a tech and was trying to just create a room with tv attach to a mac and sit on a couch. I was wanting to do work related stuff occasionally like— reading emails/ pdf and looking at some xrays or ct scan.. just was tired of conventional desk top.
Do you have any recommendations how can I achieve all this.

Oh I see. You are looking to do this at home? I guess I still don't exactly get your use case. If you are saying you want a TV in a room that you will use as a TV but also to do some productivity work, then at the distance you describe, I would say 65". Even then, I would try to test it out. I am not sure how easy it would be to see text at that distance, even on a 65".

If you are thinking of just being able to do work on a couch, would a 12.9" iPad Pro do the trick?

I really like my 48 CX and 2020 Mini. A little bit of input lag still that I wish I could get to go away, noticeable but I can manage....

Still not silky smooth like my 5k iMac from 2015 with an external 4k at same time and I'm not sure why....

Beforehand I have a Mac mini 2018 connected to an OLED BX LG 55” and a 21” 4K LG ultrafine usually my viewing distance from the TV is around 5 feet and the quality is far superior compared to my LG ultrafine (which previously was the best monitor I had seen)
I am no expert in ct scans but I understand you need great contrast level ( oled is the only one with true blacks), great grayscale display as well I think that for that purpose price quality is unmatched.

LG supports 10 bit RGB and Hdr at full 4K @120 hz. But Mac mini only supports 60hz. @4k. You will need a hdmi 2.0 cable.

In short it is not only the best monitor you can get, but compared to professional high level displays it is truly a bargain.
