hey man i wanted to be sure you saw this
about halo..(im a big player)

how do you connect to halo? what port number, and are you playing halo 1 universal binary version 2.03?
ive been seeing like, 10 players online max recently

Haha, I was confused when I saw my name as a topic title. Yes, I'm playing the Universal Binary version of Halo, and it is 2.0.3. I connect to Halo the normal way, clicking on the option for games through the Internet. As for what port I'm using, actually, I don't know. ;) I know Halo uses port 80 to check for updates, and 2302 and 2303 to either host or connect to a host, but I didn't configure anything when I set up my copy of Halo.

using your port set up

Where The Hell Is Everybody?

Halo 1 Universal Binary 2.03 Version Running On Macbook
Cant Find One Goddam Server With People In It!
Has Halo Changed Ports Or Something?
Or Does Nobody Play It Anymore??
Im Talking About Halo 1
Not 2
Not 3

I don't know what's wrong with your connection, but I saw 223 servers when I logged in a minute ago. So everyone else is there but you. ;)

MACK DO YOU OWN A PC OR A MAC?
AND CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT PORT NUMBER YOU USE?

He means search on the forums. You obviously do not have the latest Halo update (2.0.3 I believe). I see lots and lots of servers.

Ok So I Updated Halo To 2.03 But

I UPDATED TO HALO 2.03 BUT WHEN I RAN IT IT ASKED ME FOR MY SERIAL NUMBER WHICH NOW DOESNT WORK
I TRIED A METHOD FROM A FORUM HERE TO REPLACE THE "MACOS" FOLDER IN "PCKAGE CONTENTS " WITH THE ORIGINAL AND THAT WORKED AND THE GAME RAN
BUT IM STILL NOT SEEING PLAYERS ONLINE
A "GET INFO" ON HALO SAYS ITS 2.03 BUT BECAUSE I REPLACED THE "MACOS" FOLDER, TO GET IT TO WORK, IM NOT SURE IF IT ACTUALLY IS 2.03 ANY MORE:apple:

I own a Mac Pro.

Before I go any further, typing in all caps, or 'shouting' is really annoying. Please turn off your caps lock key. ;)

As for what port I use, honestly, I don't know. I did notice you're posting in every topic known to man about Halo 2.0.3, so perhaps you should try reinstalling the game, upgrading it to 2.0.3, and so on.

Port number can be found over in the Network settings section. I saw about 20 servers also. I recommend reinstalling.

Well if u read my post after the 1 about the MacOS folder u would no that thats what halo updates to be at v.2.0.3. Run the v.2.0.3 installer again and it should work. And please stop using caps lock, its rly annoying :)

I Ran The Halow 2.03 3 Installer Again But

i ran the 2.03 update again but it tells me halo is now up to date
but i had to replace the mac os folder with the original to get the game to run as my old serial for halo universal didnt work
but still im gettting about 45 empty servers and maybe 4 players online

the old serial doesnt work after you update (it asks you to put it in)
the only way to run the game is to use the old "macos" folder

Bobbles is running a pirated copy of the game, which won't connect to any 2.0.3 servers. We don't condone piracy here so I'm closing the thread.
