EDIT: The "Add To Cart" button no longer appears! :mad: Wonder what this means for all of us that ordered 5870's.

EDIT 2: "Add To Cart" button is back! (Nov 12)

EDIT 2a: Now ships in 24 HOURS for USA store!

FYI my order does not show an estimated ship date. Not unexpected since the main product pg still says "Currently Unavailable".

But the "Add To Cart" button is a start. :rolleyes:

Nope.

I wonder if Apple was waiting till the release of 10.6.5. It appears to be ready to drop at anytime now. So maybe there are some improved drivers in the update Apple was waiting on. Just guessing here.
 
So before it was unavailable but didn't have the 'add' button? I never realized that. I'm still wary to order this considering it is still listed as unavailable.

Really can't hurt to try. Apple doesn't charge your card until it is prepared to ship.

I just got off the phone with the online store's support line. The guy said that there's probably just a lot of orders going through and it may take some time for the e-mail to show up. I'm guessing he probably meant orders in general, not the 5870 specifically. In any event he did say that he saw the order in the system and it's still in the processing phase.

Just ordered mine with my education discount. I hope its legit that they are gonna start shipping them out soon! Well now that I've placed my order I just have to wait for a confirmation email instead of going to the site and always refreshing.
 
Hm, looks like. As I'd posted in the order status thread, mine just got cancelled without warning and I got told it wasn't meant to be available to order yet, and still no ETA :(

My order still shows up on my order history pg. Probably only a matter of time before it gets cancelled too.

So close yet so far. :rolleyes:
 
Looks like apple pulled the holding charge from my card, but, my order still shows up as pending on the 'order status' page.
 
Seeing as the replacement for that particular card is released in two weeks time, I cannot get myself to order the overpriced Radeon HD 5870 Mac Edition.

Here's hoping for EFI enabled Radeon HD 6870 and Radeon HD 6970 ...

still not in Canada though, I thought we had the same warehouse for this kind of thing... ships from USA to Canada no? Maybe by days end it'll be up... so close to just clicking that confirm order button (at edu price of course 429 is better than 479)....

they JUST updated the Canada store woot! now 24hours shipping

ordered mine and should receive by early next week, nov 16-19
