Lau said:It may well be in a few universities. If you go to the Apple Education Store, as well as the link for individuals, there is a link that says "This may only be accessed through your institution's network". Click on that when you are on a computer at your university (if they are participating), and there is a higher discount than a standard education one. I haven't worked out the percentage, but must be around 20ish percent off.
I've been checking ours loads recently on campus (Nottingham Uni) and from the calculations I've done it looks like the average discount given by the standard student discount is approximately 8.5% (not including iPods) while the University discount throught the special site was around 14-15%. I was doing some averages last night on this matter as it happens and I'd factored in the 12" ibook, 15" MacBook Pros, the iMacs, Powermac Basic and Quad and the 30" Cinema Display. Which Uni gives you 24% off?!!
Edit: Oh btw, on the topic of Dixons and PC World ripping people off I'll just wanted to add that I bought my Apple Keyboard from PC World in Brighton a few months ago for a fiver less than from Apple. So apparently these stores' stupidity sometimes works in our favour.
