$600 seems like a lot for a 2.5 year old tablet

No. It is not.

I don’t think so. I’ve used both. I prefer the air 3, weirdly enough.

Pro 10.5 is in a different league due to ProMotion and Quad speakers.

Pro 10.5 is still high end. Air 3 is not.

Why not invest in the 256 GB LTE model at $479 instead from Target?

It is when the 11” iPad Pro has been available for $50 more than this many times. Now that is worth $600+ dollars.

11” 512 GB WiFi doesn’t go below 999 easily. And it’s rarely at 999. It’s usually more.

If you could find the 512 GB 11” for 649 then yes 599 isn’t an amazing deal for the 10.5.

I didn’t say a 512gb. I said the 11” Pro has been on sale for $649 which is a far better deal than this old thing for $600

What if somebody needs 512 GB? If you only need 64 GB you can often buy the 10.5 for well under $499. That’s enough of a discount over the 649 11” to be worth it.

Or an even better deal like an Air 3 64gb for $260 no tax like I got last week thanks to slickdeals website :D

Nope. I wouldn’t buy an Air 3. Ever. Not having ProMotion and Quad speakers is a big deal breaker.

Im not complaining when I paid less than the 10.2 iPad that was on sale for 249.99 plus tax last week on a one day sale at Best Buy.

Ya. But I would rather stick to Pro only. 2nd gen or higher only. Regardless of price. :)

People have their own opinion but I think the 10.5 Pro is better. speakers on top and bottom (big difference from the Air 3), better display (ProMotion), more RAM.

Not only did I purchase the 512GB iPad Pro 10.5 from Walmart earlier this month for $699 (prior to the most recent price drop), I just bought another one a short time ago at $599.

Even though I have iCloud, I happen to value the extra on-board storage for those times when I don’t have access to Wifi such as when the Wifi on board an aircraft is inoperative. The value in being able to carry a huge amount of content for a relatively low price, along with brilliant speakers and an upgraded display is inestimable for me.

I travel a lot and cannot tell you how many times the Wifi has been down...or intermittently down...on flights I was on.

This deal...and the $699 before it...were no-brainers.

Definitely a YMMV situation.

Personally, a $700 512GB LTE Pro 10.5 (Prime Day pricing) is far more useful to me than a $650 64GB Wi-Fi Pro 11. Of course a 1TB LTE Pro 11 would be nicer but that's almost double the price even refurbished. Even the 512GB model is still over $1K and that one offers no benefit to me since processing power on the A10X more than meets my needs and it only has 4GB RAM unlike its big brother. :p

Military only, though.
