I believe the carriers are just being speculative. They pay for the phones up front after all.

Besides, the Apple stores are fully stocked in the 5 stores I checked for pick up availability.

Its ok to be excited. But If you don't reign it in a little for a couple more weeks you might find yourself disappointed at launch.

Would be a big range if there are two or more 6s, plus the 5s and the 5c.

That's the number one complaint with Android users, with this big range, iOS now can attract all kinds of users, boosting market share. I welcome this change.

I was wondering what would happen to the 5s in all of this. But after thinking about it some, I think it will stay around. Last year was sort of weird with the 4s being the lowest price, and the 5c being the next step up, given that the 4s used more premium materials. Ideally, they would want the plastic one to be the lowest price. Now that the 4s is out, this is what the 5c was meant for. If it wasn't for the 5c, the 5 would be this cycle's free-on-contract option, which would really hurt margins.

That doesn't take the rumoured 5.5" into account. My guess will be $299 for the 5.5"

It absolutely be better be 32gb for that price.
