I'd print screen the email, but I'm a bit stretched for time. Anyway, others should expect to receive notifications! :D

Alright, I attached a screenshot. Feel free to do the same.

I received my shipping confirmation at 2:58 AM. It's being shipped by Fedex from Kunshan, China and the expected delivery date is October 15th by 4:30 PM.

You'll be disappointed.

1. doesn't lay flat on table

2. they weakened the A5, less RAM

3. no ambient light sensor

4. no vibrations, slower wifi (lacks the channel the 5 supports)

5. ARMv7 not ARMv7s, which means that future OSes will be less optimized for it

6. screen color saturation less than of the iPhone's (to push thinness)

I won't be disappointed.

1. I don't use it on any tables.

2. Better than the A4.

3. I hated auto-brightness anyways; it never adjusted when I wanted it to, so it was always disabled.

4. Can't be much worse than my current iPod.

5. I'll just get the next iPod touch if I want future OSes.

6. At least it got the IPS display.

Basically, it's better than the previous generation but worse than the newest iPhone—nothing I didn't fully expect when I bought it.

How can you expect it to be the same as the iPhone 5 when the iPhone 5 cost over twice as much (unlocked) :D ? If you need these requirements, buy an iPhone instead.

For the most part, you seem to be comparing it to an iPhone 5, which costs at least TWICE as much (before the carrier subsidies reduce the cost). If your goal was to post here and look like a troll, you succeeded.

Please don't troll/hijack here! This is a thread on shipping. You have already stated your complaints about the touch, with your unrealistic expectations of it being an iphone, on at least one other thread today already. Please keep this on topic!

When the touch went into preparing for shipment on Sunday, I was sure it'd be received this week. I'm a little disappointed it won't arrive till Monday.

Your glass must always be half empty.

Mine arrives October 15 and I expect only delight, not disappointment.

Mine is set to arrive by October 15th too. Like some of you, I'm bummed I won't be getting it within this week. Does anyone know if the date Apple gives you is concrete or not? Like could it theoretically arrive prior to next Monday?

I pre-ordered on 9/14 and I've got an estimated delivery of 10/15, too. I'm very excited.

When do we expect the stores to have it in stock? I know when they do it will be a very limited amount, but I'm wondering if we'll see it in Apple stores this week...

I'm going to try to call my local Apple store to see if they have an ETA. Given my order is still Processing, I might pick one up from the actual store if it comes in this week and my status hasn't changed.

I'll post if I find anything out.

*edit*

According to this Engadget report: http://www.engadget.com/2012/10/09/fifth-gen-ipod-touch-and-nano-now-in-stores-and-in-the-mail/

The iPod Touch should be in stores today! I have to take a trip now, but I'm not going to get my hopes up too much since this doesn't seem right. Seems like these should be in when the people who pre-ordered get theirs. Dang, if I didn't have a meeting this morning, I would be there before 10 am!

The title of this thread is misleading. It should be titled "dispatched" since the thread starter hasn't received the ordered item yet. At this point only some japanase constomers have the iPod in their hands.
