5G service on my iPad?

I was in a particular area today, and my at&t pre-paid plan started picking up 5G on my iPad. This was the first time I have ever seen this.

I was in a particular area today, and my at&t pre-paid plan started picking up 5G on my iPad. This was the first time I have ever seen this.

It’s a new icon that was added in iOS 12.2. I’m pretty sure you aren’t actually on 5G though, but I’m not sure.

It’s 5GE which is actually just LTE advanced. I think it’s annoying that AT&T plays marketing games that confuse people.
