Yesterday I switched from Verizon to AT&T because of a better plan with more data and cheaper overall.

The guy put blue 5G Sim cards in my XR and wife’s 7+ phone, and said we might se a bit better “performance”.

Yeah or nay? Thanks.

It all depends on whether he remembered to say "Abra Cadabra" when he put the SIM cards in. /s

The only advantage is that if you upgrade to a 5G iPhone in the future, you can buy it SIM-free from Apple and move the SIM card from the old phone to the new phone. This avoids the upgrade fee (currently $25, I think) that AT&T charges. (Though I've had good luck simply asking AT&T to remove that charge.)
