so currently i have verizon and im considering switching to T-Mobile as Verizon's data speeds are slow even on 5G, on Verizon my LTE is faster then my 5G. how's T-Mobile's Data speed and coverage compared to Verizon?

This is what I’m getting on 5G with 3/4 bars in Bergen county NJ on Verizon

You may think your speeds are slow but, it is more than fast enough to comfortably stream HD content etc. and surf the web. Going to a location or service where you get 120 - 150+ isn't going to make the experience any different. Focusing on speed numbers on a cell phone is meaningless. What you should be focusing on is whether or not you are getting routine drop calls and experiencing bad service spots in the areas you frequent. If you aren't having those kinds of problems, all you are doing is trying to chase meaningless tech speed numbers.

I'm in the opposite camp. On T-Mobile and very likely to switch to Verizon tomorrow. T-Mobile's 5G reception and speed in Vegas suck. I often have to go to the cellular settings to switch to LTE.

In my new job, they use Verizon because in their experience the service has been better, faster and more reliable in that area of Vegas (which is almost on the opposite side of town from where I live).

I am on AT&T and I am switching to T-Mobile on Monday. The T-Mobile 5g service here is outstanding and the plans offer more and are cheaper for my 3 lines than AT&T by about $90.

Part of the reason is my whole neighborhood I live in has horrible reception with Verizon, I get only 1-2 bars of service in my house and it frequently causes dropped calls. My service is great at my work though.

Me too but T-Mobile WiFi works seemlessly in my house.

Check with T-Mobile as they recently offered a 30 day free trial so that a person can ascertain if switching service will work for them.

ive only ever got that from Verizons 5G UW, if i can find 5G UW i get like 2500 MBPS but its very limited where im at
There is no guarantee of what speeds you will get with any of the carriers. And there are too many variables that can affect the network speeds. If you are interested in T-Mobile, you can try out T-Mobile and decide how coverage and speed for you. Do the T-Mobile test drive.

By the way, T-Mobile uses the symbol "5G UC" on the 13 series, 5G Ultra Capacity. ?

Get the T mobil test drive app and try it out. I’m on Verizon but have been using it for a couple weeks. The coverage is the same in my town and everywhere in the city. I was out in rural NH yesterday and T mobil is very lacking out there.
I have a 12 pro max that I think gets terrible reception and wanted to see if T-Mobile was a solution but it’s not.

You should try AT&T it’s gotten much better in NH due to the FirstNet roll out . I left Verizon to go to AT&T and enjoying the coverage they provide.

This is the fastest I got so far with T-Mobile since I got my new phone 4 days ago. On the average I get around 400+ where I live.

Damn my 13 pro Max is carrier locked through Verizon for 60 days so I have to wait it seems to try that app

Verizon is overated I was with them for 27 years and ended up with TMobile and couldn't be happier. 5G is everywhere I go with great speeds Verizon has very little if any near me.

For your area. We just switched to Verizon today and already are experiencing much improvement in areas we frequent where T-mobile sucked massively.

I believe you should be able to 'try' T-mobile via their e-sim 30 day trial. I did when I was on VZ as well.

The iPhone has to be unlocked in order to use the T-Mobile test drive. It is clearly stated on the T-Mobile website.

Obviously it would depend on your coverage. I did that T-Mobile test drive thing, and service was absolute garbage. Even when I had what was seemingly a full signal of 5G, speeds were slow and inconsistent. I also had many dropped calls. I can have one bar on Verizon and still get fast and reliable speed.
